Old example data files and guidelines

This is the old version of the example files. For the new version please download the new example files.

Download the file example.zip and unzip it. After downloading and unzipping the file, you will find the following 12 files:

- 1 word file (Calculation of y-hats Iceland 2007.doc)
- 1 word file(Generating a stacked version of a TEV dataset_using STATA.doc)
- 1 SPSS data file (ICENES_TEV_2007_unstacked.sav) of ICENES 2007 not stacked.
- 1 SPSS data file (icenes_tev_2007_stacked_yhats.sav) of ICENES 2007 stacked with the y-hats.
- 1 Stata data file (icenes_tev_2007_unstacked.dta) identical to the unstacked SPSS one.
- 1 Stata data file (icenes_tev_2007_stacked_yhats.dta) identical to the stacked SPSS one.
- 1 SPSS syntax file (ICENES_TEV_2007_SPSS_FINAL.sps) containing the COMPLETE syntax to recode the variables, stack and create the y-hats.
- 1 Stata syntax file (ICENES_TEV_2007_stacking_&_yhats_STATA.do) containing the syntax for the STACKING and the Y-HATS.
- 1 xls file (Output y-hats SPSS.xls) with the output of the regressions in SPSS for comparative purposes.
- 1 xls file (ISCO_to_EGP_conversion.xls)
- 1 SPSS syntax file (codebook-2-11.sps) that was used to create the SPSS data file codebook-2-11.sps
- 1 SPSS data file (codebook-2-11.sps)

In order to download the example.zip file you need to be member of the True European Voter research team and a registered user of the website.
